dza were approached by this client to develop ideas for this site. following scheme designs and discussions with bristol city council planning department, approval was gained for 6 new apartments in the existing main building, with the adjacent spaces and garages re-designed to provide 7 contemporary family townhouses, five at the back of the site, designed to utilise the change in level across the site. the work involved extensive negotiation with the city and involved a new section 106 agreement for the surrounding roads.
